Full Time: 37 hours per week, all year round

Starting: 21st August 2017

Salary: L9 to L12 Starting on L9 £47,492, rising incrementally to L12 £51,128 per year

The Cabot Learning Federation is a Multi Academy Trust serving 15 schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas. We are responsible and accountable for the education of 8,000 students between the ages of 3 and 19 and for the employment and support of over 1,600 staff.  The CLF currently sponsors 7 secondary academies, 6 primary academies, an all-through academy and a studio school.

We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as Senior Finance Manager who will lead the established Finance Manager team as part of the wider Central Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding levels of financial business partnering support to the 20 entities that make up the CLF. You will lead on budget setting and management accounts production across the federation, providing high levels of support and challenge to the CLF academies.

You will be:

  • A qualified accountant
  • A quick learner with strong analytical skills
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • An experienced leader with the ability to influence others

Educational experience is desirable but not essential. More importantly, computer literacy is a must, as are a flexible approach to work, great attention to detail, and the ability to work well within tight deadlines.
