BBA Year 8 ICT Innovation Event
Written by Dean Blake on 18/07/2011 – 4:34 pm -Friday July 15th saw Bristol Brunel Academy hold its first annual Year 8 ICT Innovation Event. The idea behind the event was for students to work in small groups and to come up with an idea about how ICT could be used in the future. At the beginning of term students in year 8 were set a challenge to put forward an idea that would be useful, incorporate ICT and be simple to use. In the weeks leading up to the event students worked collaboratively to produce a display which would be assessed by a panel of judges. The day itself was a great success with students eager to impress the judges with their knowledge of ICT and explain why their idea should win!
