BBA Focus Day

One day per term Bristol Brunel Academy collapses its timetable and put on a focused day of education. Various activities are worked on throughout the different year groups from BTEC work through to Maths and Science.
The Uganda experience and team building focused the efforts of Year Seven, on this particular day. Split into two groups they rotate between a range of activities. Group one spent the morning in PE on teambuilding activities and group two worked on the Uganda experience, they then swapped over in the afternoon.
The Uganda experience involved African Drama and Dance, African Drumming and Music workshop, students had the chance to cook African Food and they also made African Art.
The aim of the day was to provide an enriched curriculum day to allow students to participate in activities outside their usual subjects. Uganda has been chosen as it is hoped that a link will be set up with a school in Uganda in the not too distant future.
