Bristol Metropolitan Academy (BMA)-Principal Steve Taylor

BMA joined the federation in 2009 when the federation became a multi academy trust. The school took over from Bristol Metropolitan College (Whitefield Fishponds Community School) and was one of the first schools in the south west to be judged as “good” under the new OFSTED framework.

GCSE results have improved steadily and parents in the community now see this as a school that they support and want their children to attend. A specialism of languages underpins the strong cultural ethos at the academy and the school has been transformed as a result of the leadership of Steve Taylor.
