Welcome to the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) website. The CLF is a partnership of schools that is sponsored by Rolls Royce PLC and The University of the West of England (UWE). It now sponsors twelve academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Weston super Mare and Bath. This means that we are responsible and accountable for the education of 5600 students between the ages of 4 and 19 and for the employment and support of over 1000 staff.

Our vision is based upon our mission of "collaboration for outstanding achievement" and the work that is now shared between our schools at senior and middle leadership level, teachers and support staff underpins this every day. All of our staff are employed by the CLF and this enables us to give colleagues the opportunity to work in more than one academy either for their own development or because the skills that they have are needed by more than one of our schools.

The Cabot Learning Federation enters the new year with a newly configured executive leadership team. Sujata McNab, Chief Operating Officer of CLF until 31 August, has been appointed by the Board as Interim CEO, and will be leading the executive team from 1 September until 31 December. Mandy Milsom and Steve Taylor are continuing in their roles as Executive Principals, and Claire Carter as Leader of the CLF Teaching School. The executive team is joined by Anna Klimczak as Interim Finance Director, and Bryony Green as Interim Head of Compliance. These roles are for one year initially. We are in the process of recruiting a Human Resources Director to complete the executive. This team has a great deal of experience and knowledge, and most importantly a complete commitment to CLF’s staff and students. We are confident that under the leadership of this executive team, and of the academy principals and other leaders, the CLF will continue to build on its achievements, and will deliver its vision and objectives in the strategic plan.

We are delighted that Steve Taylor has been appointed as the new CEO of CLF. Steve is currently an executive principal at the federation, and has played a major part in the development of the federation over the past five years. Steve will take up his post on 1 January 2015, and Sujata McNab remains Interim CEO until then. We are looking forward to the next era for the CLF, building on our considerable strengths and embracing fresh ideas so we can continue to provide the very best opportunities for children, young people and families.
